PEOPLE

Make the strange familiar and the familiar strange
A semi colon is a marker that signifies, where a story could end, instead, it continues - serving as a visual reminder to be brave enough to dream beyond our current reality. It invites us to embrace a mindset of perpetual curiosity. To be open to possibilities. To find connections where others see separate concepts. To live creatively and in doing so, create real value for the world. To evolve what's possible for human beings.

It’s kind of fun to do the impossible

I have long been an observer of people. As a slightly existential child, I spent a lot of time trying to understand human behaviour. I grew up between London and Hong Kong and went to four different schools between the ages of eight to thirteen. Through the changing contexts, I became very curious about the rules and the edges of each culture. Who are the rulemakers and rulebreakers? The gatekeepers and the gatecrashers? The insiders and outsiders? I studied Anthropology, travelled to 50+ countries and spent time with many different humans - from vampires to villains – breatharians to billionaires - monks to miracle-workers – entrepreneurs and explorers - all to explore the stretches and edges of the human experience.
My career began as a headhunter in the tech-ecosystem, building teams of venture investors. I was drawn to the momentum, energy and potential of the people. My job was to understand the rules of the game, identify the “rockstars” and help the best funds in the world hire them. I got to meet with 1000’s of people across the tech ecosystem and became more and more curious about the levers that made outperformers exactly that: outperformers. What makes a rockstar a “rockstar”? And are these insights teachable? I wanted to translate the awareness into simple frameworks, so travelled to different corners of the world to train with world-class practitioners, pioneering thinkers and eclectic beings across different fields - psychology, theology, philosophy, breath-work, coaching and leadership development. I started POP to create an ever-evolving home for these discoveries and a vehicle to help the curious unlock their potential.

What if we could codify outlier behaviours to change the trajectory of peoples lives? My job involves trying to answer that question. I have a lifelong fascination with why people do the things they do, a degree in Anthropology, an eye for design and an unofficial certification in “getting shit done”. So, naturally, I am dead set on leveraging behavioural science to create life-changing, theoretically grounded tools that both help and delight people.
My work spans a multitude of areas but fundamentally boils down to asking “why?”. I'm constantly investigating how we can bring more rigour and wonder to our products. My commitment is to share best-in-class tools and powerful stories that enrich and expand our clients possibilities so they can make meaningful waves in the world.
